KodaDock X does not track, collect, store, or sell your personal data, download histories, or IP addresses. We believe utilities should be completely transparent, ad-free, and respectful of your privacy.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike conventional download services, KodaDock X operates on a strict zero-retention architecture:
- No User Accounts: No sign-up, registration, email address, or social login is ever required.
- No Activity Logs: We do not log which tweets, videos, or user handles you query or download.
- No Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising pixels (e.g. Google AdSense, Meta Pixel), or fingerprinting scripts.
2. How Links and Videos are Processed
When you submit an X (Twitter) status URL:
- The request is parsed transiently in server memory solely to query public video stream metadata (dimensions, bitrate, and CDN file size).
- No media files are permanently hosted or cached on KodaDock servers. Media files stream directly from official content delivery networks (CDNs) into your device.
3. Android App Permissions
The KodaDock Android application requests minimal system permissions:
- Internet Access: To fetch tweet media metadata and download the video MP4 streams.
- Storage / MediaStore: To write the downloaded video files directly into your phone's Gallery / Photos app (
Movies/KodaDock). The app never reads or scans your existing photos or personal files. - Notifications (Optional): To show real-time download percentage progress and allow 1-tap playback from your notification shade.
4. Third-Party Services
KodaDock X is hosted on global edge infrastructure provided by Vercel and protected by Cloudflare. These network providers may process standard HTTP connection telemetry (e.g., source IP, request headers) solely for traffic routing, DDoS mitigation, and edge security compliance.
